A safe and healthy workplace benefits everyone – employees, businesses, and industries. This is why during October each year, Safe Work Australia asks businesses, employers, and workers across Australia to join the National Safe Work Month celebration and commit to building safe and healthy workplaces for all Australians. This year, the overarching theme is: Know safety, work safely.
At Assetlink, we participated in the cause by highlighting a specific topic every week throughout the month of October. The list of topics included preventing injuries at work, maintaining a mentally healthy workplace, managing WHS risks, and creating a safe and healthy environment for all. Through our social media page, we discussed and shared the initiatives we have implemented to help ensure a safe work environment for the sites we manage and communities where we operate.
Moreover, we featured team members on our social media page who strongly demonstrate the signature behaviour – “I Never Negotiate in Safety”. The team members were nominated by their managers and subject matter experts as an appreciation of their efforts and contributions to keeping our sites safe for everyone.
